LEA.DJ Network Security and Ethical Cyber Piracy AEC

The Network Security and Ethical Cyber Piracy (NSECP) program is designed to meet the high demand for information system security analysts and related IT security professionals across multiple sectors – including consulting services, finance and health care. Students graduating from this program will enter into a specialized information and communication technology (ICT) field. They will have the capabilities to assess and evaluate security risks and threats to physical and digital infrastructure, develop and implement security contingency planning, and lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure that security risk is minimized.

Program outline:
The NSECP program provides training in skills required for a career in Network Security or Cyber Security. You will develop and implement network and cybersecurity solutions considering the affordances and limitations of the computer operating systems, networks, application software, and packages available.
You will develop best practices, strategies and processes to protect business resources through the application of knowledge of vulnerabilities and exploits.
You will plan, implement, and evaluate cybersecurity policies and strategies using project management principles to effectively respond to the needs of the organization's information security requirements.
You will perform security audits to ensure risk mitigation and compliance with security plans, policies, 
standards, regulations and best practices

Prerequisites

  • English language requirements: English Language Requirements: Language proficiency requirements SDS countries: Fluency in English with an overall band score of 6.0 of IELTS with no band less than 6.0 preferred or 6.5 of IELTS with no band less than 5.5 preferred in any one individual module. 
    Language proficiency requirements non-SDS countries: IELTS 5.5 (nothing less than 5.5 band in any individual 2 modules) or equivalent language proficiency (TOEFL, CAE, DUOLINGO) or Matrix AAP English. 
  • Exemption: Students having a High School Diploma from native English speaking countries (example: Nigeria, Philippines)
  • French language requirements: A1 to B2 French program (4 levels) is mandatory for those students who wish to pursue AEC in English; 
  • Exemptions from French program registration: Students are exempt from College’s French language program, if they produce a proof of B2 level third party test / online placement test or have a High School Diploma in French from French speaking countries or have a B2 level certificate from Languages Canada accredited members.
